Discussion on the 2nd draft of the research vision document
Thank you very much for entering the discussion forum on the Research Vision Paper of the IFOAM-EU Group together with ISOFAR. Your comments will help us to substantiate the future research strategy.
The current re-drafted 2nd version of the research vision is a result of the received input and is open for an electronic consultation which started on March 26 and will end on April 25, 2008.
The discussion forum has now been installed and is currently available at http://www.fiblgate.org/tp/forum/. For instructions please check here.
Please focus on:
- Commenting the overall approach taken to develop a long-term research strategy which addresses global and European challenges based on organic agriculture and food production.
- Pointing to weaknesses of the paper and to missing elements and topics.
- Changing the priorities or the focus we have taken so far.
- Identifying hypotheses, information and facts which are not reliable or biased.
- Adding relevant literature and interesting facts which could support our research strategy.
- Adding interesting research questions which are not yet listed.
Don’t focus on:
- Grammar and orthography
- Wording and unfortunate choice of words.
The final paper will be edited by a native speaker and journalist and should become more pleasing to read.

Step-by-step
If you wish to join the discussions please take the following steps:
- 1. Register by cklicking REGISTER under the blue frame at the forum's homepage. After agreeing to the terms you will be led to the registration form, please fill it in accurately and select your own password and user name.
- 2. An e-mail confirmation of your registration will be sent to you by the forum managers (Anamarija Slabe and Helga Willer).
- 3. To join the discussions please log in by clicking 'LOGIN' under the blue frame) with your password and user name.
- 4. Once logged in, you will be brought back to forum's homepage.
- To look at the discussions click on 'Vision paper' in the blue frame and you will be led to the discussions.
- 5. Currently there is only one topic open for disucssion - the vision paper as a whole should be discussed, there are no other topics/subthemes. Click on 'Welcome to the Discussion on the Vision Paper'.
- 6. Should you wish to respond, please click on the button POST REPLY (red font).
- 7. Enter your comment into the space provided. You can a) save your comment for later publication, b) preview it before publication, c) submit it and thus publish it at the forum.
